About Me

Photography has been a life long journey, a constant thread that’s taken me across oceans, through small towns in Guatemala, into New York darkrooms and off seaside cliffs in Jamaica.

In 1989 I settled in Charleston, South Carolina. Still shooting and developing film, I struggled to keep up with the digital revolution. Despite taking on the new technology I eventually went into retirement and stepped away from professional photography.

Last year (2019), I came out of retirement and joined Redux Contemporary Art Center. I opened Studio #9 and started printing from my old negatives. The response I’m getting is overwhelmingly positive. There are so many photos from the past that were never printed. Unearthing them has been a magical experience.

That magic has reignited my desire to capture new images both locally and abroad. New pieces are in the works from the local Charleston area as well as Denmark, so keep current with my site to see the latest from the archives as well as recently shot images.
